THE WHITE STONES

Your name is Chris Ellison and you are from London in England. You are on a ferry. The ferry is going to the island of Skaran in Ireland. You are sitting next to a woman. She is archaeologist. She want to study the megalithic stones on Skaran. But, she said, the people on this island don't like archaeologists, because they think that archaeologists take our treasures. It's June 21. It's the longest day of the year. A lot of people go to clayonag every year. That day there are a lot of people near the tomb. They are looking at the sun, and waiting. The sun shines between the two big stones. It shines into the door of the tomb. When this happens, the people begin to sing. [127 words]
